What can Cupping help with? Does cupping really bruise?

The Negative Pressure or Suction loosens and lifts rigid, connective tissue, break up and drain stagnation whilst increasing blood and lymph flow in ways not possible using positive pressure techniques such as manual massage. The cups allow for stretching and opening of the tissues which creates space for fluid and energy to move and nourish the adjacent tissues as well as helping the drainage of toxins and cellular waste material, bringing them up to the superficial tissues, so it is easier to flush them out of the body.

Does cupping really bruise?

No. Bruising is caused by the breakage of blood vessels. Cupping extracts the stagnated fluids, including blood, from the vessels via diffusion, through the wall of the vessels. For that reason, cupping is a great detox tool, as well as being helpful with fascial adhesions, knots and much more.

What happens afterwards?

You may feel sore afterwards just like after a manual massage or a workout in the gym. However, thanks to the negative pressure, the technique is not as painful as a deep tissue massage but it may feel uncomfortable at times. You make sure you talk to Ana so she can adapt the pressure.

It is recommended that you do not drive or manage machinery afterwards. And also you will need to drink plenty of water (6-8 glasses) too.
